Steve and Debra Gonsalves and their two daughters are all alumni of Clayton Valley High School.
They have made many generous contributions to Clayton Valley and the entire community. The day they heard Mt Diablo Unified School District cut athletics from the budget Steve and Debra pledged $100,000 to the United Mt Diablo Athletic Foundation.
Steve asked that the pledge be made in honor of his high school basketball coach, Bruce Iversen who passed away this spring.
Bruce was an exemplary, competitive basketball coach, who coached with uncompromising integrity and encouraged everyone who played for him to reach their full potential.
Steve and Debra have certainly carried on his integrity and leadership.
